    Our Christian Vision

St. Saviour’s fosters a strong sense of community and belonging. We instil a sense of calmness within our school environment, just as Jesus calmed the storm, which we believe extends into the wider community. Our progressive curriculum exposes children to new experiences which gives every child the opportunity to achieve their potential. Through these principles, we seek to create an inclusive and supportive space where all individuals feel valued and journey with us through the storm and calm of life.

Our Christian vision is inspired by the story of Jesus calming the storm (An adapted retelling of Mark 4:35–41):

One evening, Jesus and his disciples climbed into a boat to cross the lake. As they sailed, a fierce storm began.

The wind blew, the waves crashed against the boat, and the disciples became frightened. But Jesus was asleep.

The disciples woke him, crying, “Teacher, don't you care if we drown?”

Jesus stood up and spoke to the wind and the waves.

    “Peace, be still!”

Immediately, the wind stopped and the water became calm.

Jesus turned to his disciples and asked, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” The disciples were amazed. They asked one another, “Who is this, that even the wind and the waves obey him?”

It reminds us that, even when life feels uncertain or challenging, we can find strength in faith, reassurance in one another and courage to face what lies ahead.

At St Saviour's, we seek to create a community where children feel they belong, where everyone is valued and where we support one another through both the calm and the storms of life.

    Our Christian Values

Our three Christian values help us put our vision into practice every day.

    Community

We are stronger together. We build positive relationships, celebrate belonging and recognise the importance of helping and supporting one another.

    Consideration

We show kindness, respect and understanding. We listen to others, think about their feelings and recognise that every person matters.

    Courage

We face challenges, embrace new opportunities and stand up for what is right. We know that being courageous doesn't mean never feeling afraid; it means finding the strength to try.

    Our School Motto

Working hard and caring for each other.

Our motto reminds us that learning and kindness go hand in hand. We encourage children to give their best, celebrate their achievements and take care of the people around them.
