  • Freedom of Information and Publication Scheme

St Saviour's Church of England Junior School is committed to openness, transparency and making information about our school accessible to the public.

As a maintained school, we are subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The school intends to formally adopt the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) Model Publication Scheme. Formal adoption is currently pending review by the Governing Body.

In the meantime, our Guide to Information below outlines the types of information available from the school and how members of the public can access them.

    Our Guide to Information

Our Guide to Information is organised around seven categories:

    1. Who we are and what we do — school contact details, governance, admissions, vision and values.

    2. What we spend and how we spend it — financial information, Pupil Premium, PE and Sport Premium, and charging arrangements.

    3. What our priorities are and how we are doing — school performance, Ofsted reports and improvement priorities.

    4. How we make decisions — governance arrangements, relevant decisions and information about governing body meetings.

    5. Our policies and procedures — safeguarding, SEND, equality, curriculum, behaviour, attendance, complaints and other school policies.

    6. Lists and registers — publicly available registers, including governors' interests.

    7. The services we offer — education, school meals, clubs, wraparound care and support for families.

Much of this information is available elsewhere on our website. If you cannot find what you need, please contact the school office.

    Requesting Information

You can make a Freedom of Information request by contacting the school office.

Please provide your name, an address for correspondence (which may be an email address), and a clear description of the recorded information you are requesting.

Requests will be considered under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and answered within the applicable statutory timescale. Certain information may be withheld where a legal exemption applies.

Requests for your own personal information should be made under data protection legislation rather than the Freedom of Information Act.

    Charges

Information available on our website is provided free of charge.

Reasonable photocopying and postage charges may apply to requests for printed information, where permitted by law. We will explain any applicable charges before providing the information.
