Happy New Year

Change of menu for 18th January

Dear Parents,

You will be aware that the National Education Union has voted to strike over four days.  The dates are 1st Feb, 2nd March and the 15 & 16th March.

Most of our teachers are members of the NEU.  Teachers do not have inform me if they intend to strike, however  they have told me.  Seventeen out of twenty teachers are striking. I am meeting with governors tonight and support staff tomorrow (Friday 20th) to evaluate our options.  We have three scenarios: complete closure, partial closure (where certain children attend and others do not) or staying completely open.

I will inform you on Monday 23rd January what we intend to do.  I would like to give you more than ten day's notice but, as you will appreciate, children's safety is paramount and this will take some organising.  I do understand (as do the teachers) how disruptive this is for children and families.

Kind regards

Nick Bonell
